Today I received a package in the mail from my bestie, Pia. She sent me a special stone that she personally chose for me. Along with it, a note that read:

Malachite reveals the truth about oneself and brings to the surface that which is unknown or unseen to the conscious. As a stone of transformation, malachite encourages change and emotional risk taking. Malachite can be a powerful ally for those waiting for their reality to change. It reminds us we have to co-create with the universe and helps us identify the steps necessary to bring our dreams and visions into physical reality.

I'm so thankful to have a friend like P, a friend who understands me and goes above and beyond to show that she cares.

I'm Here.

That's right, Seattle...I'm here! And I'm already in love with the amount of possibilities for anything you want to do. Coming from a small town, you really only have so many options for parks, bars, restaurants, etc within 30miles. I've been spending the majority of my time searching and applying for jobs in my field or out enjoying the city with my family. I'm determined to have purpose in Seattle and I know I'll find it.

Pay attention to the things you are naturally drawn to. They are often connected to your path, passion and purpose in life. Have the courage to follow them.

MI to WA

I made it to Washington today. It's been a long, beautiful 4-day drive across the country. Our path crossed through seven states between Michigan and Washington – Indiana (for a hot sec), Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota (saw Mt. Rushmore), Wyoming (explored Yellowstone National Park) and Montana.

Some tips I've learned along the way:
 • Avoid the Illinois tollway!
 • Yellowstone would be a really cool place to camp (adding to the bucket list ASAP)
 • Iowa is an extremely long state full of farm land
 • Montana and Washington have seriously breathtaking views

I cannot wait to start this new life. Two more hours to go!

My sister, Nicole, is one driven woman. She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington State. I've had the pleasure of branding her private practice and giving her a cohesive website. And just recently she came to me with a new idea for a couples workshop, so of course I jumped to the task and had a blast creating something fun to get people excited about the workshop.

I'm so blessed to have such amazing people in my circles who believe in me and my creativity!

Luckily for me, I fell in love with another creative soul. Aaron Lee is my extremely musically talented, other half. Our outlets always seem to intertwine. We had so much fun staying up late, bouncing ideas off each other, and coming up with this new design to brand himself as a solo artist. I'm so proud of him for all that he's accomplished so far and excited for all he's about to immerse himself into as we move forward on this journey called life.

Who doesn't love a good wedding?!

It's quite special to be involved in a couple's big day, whether you know them personally or not. Kaitlyn reached out to me a year in advance & I could not have been more excited. This was my first full-day wedding, from mimosas & getting ready in the morning to dancing the night away with the wedding party. It's a lot of pressure, but so worth it! Seeing their love and happiness float throughout the day & getting a glimpse at their future together...it's something magical.

Here's to you, Kaitlyn & Branden!

Just Focus...

Last night, a wonderful friend of mine sent me a photo of an arrow with an expression that really connected with me.

An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward. When life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means it's going to launch you into something great. So just focus, and keep aiming.

As I reflect about the future, now that summer's quickly come & gone, I feel I need to focus more than ever to reach my goals. I know where I want to be in order to truly thrive, because I believe there's more to this everyday, constant routine we call life. I've gotten a taste of the beauty, and I want more. So I will focus and keep aiming no matter what. Something great is surely coming my way and I couldn't be more excited about it.
